So, for those of you who don't know Earl, here is a small glimpse of the character. Yes, he did decorate a boat as a Viking ship and dress my older brother and sister up as little Vikings. For years as kids, we were equipped with swords and horned hats.
This is him during World War II, apparently protecting his home.
And this is Earl today. He is 88 years old and has since upgraded this 4-wheeler to a new faster one that travels faster than 60 mph. Mind you, he is legally blind and can only see peripherally.
He is the coolest. A true Norwegian. There is no shortage of good stories about him.

He is a nut! His stories are my all-time favorites!
I'm lovin' the viking boat! That's so cool!
This made me laugh so hard. Good old Earl. I love that man!! Tell him to take it easy with the chain saw, I don't think any legally bling 88 year old should be holding on to that while driving a four wheeler.
I love Earl!!! He was SO nice to us when we stayed at your house back when Jeff was stationed in WA!!! I would give anything to eat fresh crab at his house again :)!
Classic. LOVE it.
