Luke's Birthday

So, after the races, we headed to Chuckie Cheese for Luke's 2nd birthday party. The party was a hit, especially for the kids. Luke LOVES Star Wars and always has at least one light saber on him at all times. He is too cute. We were so glad to be there to help him celebrate his big day!

Day at the Races

Yesterday we joined the Morphys, Kochs and Blads at the Del Mar Horse Races (hence Nora's fabulous hat). Baker's dad used to own horses that would race there, so it is an old past time of theirs. It was very exciting once we picked our horse, cheering them on to the end. Addi loved the races and after everyone said, "Dad, again?"

San Diego

We spent last weekend in San Diego with Jaime and Dan. We hung out at the pool and hit up Sea World. And I finished Twilight. Overall a very good weekend. It is always fun to be with good friends, especially when our kids get along so well. Addi has taken quite the liking to Jaime, however. She refused to have anything to do with Ian and I when she is with her. Let's be honest, Jaime is a little more fun than me, with a little more energy. I love her, so how can I blame Addi for doing the same? We are just glad that Jaime loves her back and doesn't mind the constant attention and demands that Addi places on her. Addi's obsession of the weekend was horses. She ran right up to this Clydesdale when she saw him. This little girl has no fear. She was lucky to get to pose with this big guy.

Happy Anniversary!

Today, Ian and I celebrate five years together. Who knew time would go by so fast! So, five years later here we are with our precious little Addi and another on the way. Whatever the future holds, we are looking forward to it! Here is us on our first date. It was Valentine's Day 2003, we have been together ever since.

Twilight

So for the past few months, all the talk on various blogs and among various friends has been Twilight. I am a little late to jump on the band wagon, but yesterday I bought the first installment of the series. I could not put it down. I was up until midnight and am already 130+ pages into it. Then, after one of my many trips to the bathroom last night, I was having a hard time getting back to sleep (probably due to my nonstop thinking about Bella and Edward) I seriously contemplated getting up to continue reading. Am I crazy? I have yet to have time to get back to it today, but am looking forward to a lazy weekend to hopefully finish it.

Jamie's Wedding

Last weekend, we drove to Utah for my good friend Jamie Morgan's wedding. We stayed in Mesquite on the way there and back to catch some rays and give Addi (and us) a break from the car. It was a quick trip. We were in Utah for less than 48 hours, but well worth it. I was so glad to be there on Jamie's big day. We were able to go to the rehearsal dinner the night before, the temple and then the reception. It was a beautiful outdoor reception with a very beautiful bride. Here are a few pictures from the busy weekend.
