Rutabaga

Last night Ian took Addison with him to the grocery store. There is a show on TV right now called Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, where he is trying to transform the most unhealthy city in the US, to have better eating habits. On the show, he goes into a 1st grade class and quizzes the kids on their vegetable knowledge. None of them even knew what a potato was. So as Ian was in the produce department Addi, he started quizzing her. Pretty soon, she was just pointing to different vegetables and naming them. Normal vegetables like carrots, tomatoes and broccoli. And then she says, "oh look dad, there's rutabaga." Ian had never even heard of rutabaga, but looked down at the sign and sure enough the turnip like vegetable was rutabaga. When he came home and told me the story, I had to look it up on the internet. Maybe it's a sign we need to start eating more vegetables...

Never seen that show but I'd try it out. I give every thing at least one chance. So what do those taste like?
