Cabin
We went to the cabin this weekend with Jaime, Dan and Luke. I was sick the entire time, but we still managed to have a good time. He ate a lot, watched movies, the boys played video games and we also managed in naps. It was great. We only left the house to walk down to the park. Dan and Ian had water balloon fights with the kids everyday. They loved it. Here is Addi and Choobie patiently waiting for the balloons to be filled up.
I love this picture of Addi mid-air. She was so excited.

Bubba is such a trooper. We drag him everywhere and he is happy as a clam.
Addi took this picture of Luke. Good, right? They have so much fun together, luckily for us.

8 months and Conjunctivitis
The day after we got back from Washington, Von woke up from his nap with his eyes crusted shut. But of course, when I went to get him from his crib, he was smiling and was so happy. I took him to the doctor and it was just a case of conjunctivitis. After a few days of antibiotics, he was back to normal. This picture is so sad, but still so cute.
Here he is at 8 months. I can't believe he is going to be turning one in just a few months. He is still not crawling, but he gets around by rolling. And he can only sit up momentarily. I think it is because he is just so big. When I took him to the doctor for his eye, he was 21 pounds, 6 ounces. He is fat and happy still and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Trip to Washington
We just got back last night from a trip to my hometown, Camano Island, WA. We went back to enjoy all the things that make summer at my parents house great-lots of crab, boating, waterskiing, and Ian's favorite, my ten year high school reunion. Addi was in heaven. Because the sun rises on their side of the island, Addi was always up EARLY. At around 6 am, my dad would take her out in the boat to go check the crab pots and bring in the keepers. We spent a lot of time with my grandparents, Addi especially. She would wander back and forth between my parents and grandparents house all day. My grandparents were amazed by her energy. She goes all day, non-stop. She spent time on the four-wheeler with my grandpa, loved riding in the boat and went fishing for dog fish (aka baby sharks) with my dad with poles that my dad made expecially for her.

I hadn't skiied since I was pregnant with Addi and I hadn't slalom skiied in almost ten years. I was so scared. Ian said that when I successfully dropped one ski, he could see me from the boat let out a huge sigh. I did it and did not even get my hair wet. However, I was shaking by the time I was done and so sore the next day.

Ian and I before the reunion. It was a lot of fun to see everyone, I think Ian even had a good time.
I met Stevi in the second grade when she moved to the island. We were friends all the way through high school. It was fun to see where everyone has ended up and to see who has and hadn't changed a bit.
Going out for our last boat ride.
Ian is a city boy and is always frightened of all of the vehicles and contraptions that my dad and grandpa have around. He turns a little more country every trip up there.

Summertime...
I am so behind. In the past few weeks, Von turned 7 months old. He is eating solids, can say, "dada," "baba" and "mama." Although, none of which, I don't think discriminately. He is almost crawling. He gets around by scooting and rolling. And he LOVES his sister. He just watches her and laughs all day. He is still sleeping at least 12 hours at night and is taking two, two hour naps during the day. It seems as though he is never awake, but when he is, he is the happiest baby.We have been spending a lot of time in the pool. Both kids are still taking lessons, and we have been swimming at Ian's parent's a lot. Von is able to float on his back at his lessons and Addi is swimming half of the length of the pool. It is so great to see their progress. We did our annual night at the OC fair. The food was great and Addi won herself a fish. After all of us adults tried to get a ball in the jar, on Addi's first try, she made it. The fish lasted less than a week. After "Dorothy" died, Ian was putting Addi to bed and Addi asked, "Daddy, is Dorothy going to be okay?" Ian replied, "Yes, Dorothy is with Jesus." To which Addi asked, "Jesus lives in toilets AND space?" Too funny. We love her. She was so proud.Bubba enjoying his first fair experience.
