These boots were made for walking...

Before I met up with Ian and his family in Florida, I spent a couple of days on Camano Island with my parents and grandparents. It rained or was overcast everyday I was there, so Addi got good use out of her raincoat and boots. She had so much fun playing at the beach, in the orchard and up in the woods. It is definitely a change from the concrete jungle that we live in. It was also nice for Addi to get to know my grandparents better. She loved my grandma's cookies (she had to make another batch just after a few days of us being there, because we depleted the cookie jar) and learned to watercolor with my Grandpa, something I use to do with him as a kid. She ate apples, berries and sweet peas that she picked herself from the orchard and garden and went had a nightly ritual of going on the 4-wheeler with my dad before bed. I was so sad to leave her for nine whole days, but was grateful to have one last kid-free vacation for a while. She had a great time and many thanks to my parents for entertaining her while we were gone!

Alisa... these pictures of Addi made me want to cry they were so cute. You and Ian need to keep cranking these babies out, and populate the earth with them. She's just precious. I can't wait to see you guys at Thanksgiving time. I hope that she remembers me :(

What a fun little vacation for the two of you. I love your home in WA. It's so peaceful and you are surrounded by nature. And Earl got to chill with Addi, amazing.

welcome home! I love the rain outfit... Where can I get myself one of those? :)
Addi is getting so big.. she looks more like a little girl than the infant I use to think of.
